\n\nApple started referring to the main camera on the iPhone 4S as an \"iSight\" camera, and they've done it again now (I'm pretty sure they didn't do this for the iPhone 4). This is interesting given that the iSight was originally a webcam, and the webcam cameras built into most of Apple's devices have been rebranded as \"FaceTime\". This is interesting because it says to me that Apple is looking hard at the camera market.\n\nPerhaps we'll see some kind of serious iSight-branded camera that can be docked with an iPhone. Or perhaps some kind of wireless solution. (Why does Apple refuse to give us an SD card slot in an iPad? Perhaps they're skating to where they plan to hit the puck.)","$updatedAt":"2024-06-05T09:10:30.276+00:00",path:"two-things",_created:"2024-07-09T20:29:39.936Z",id:"4700",_modified:"2024-07-09T20:29:39.936Z","$id":"4700",_path:"post/path=two-things"},"page/path=blog":{path:"blog",css:"",imageUrl:"",prefetch:[{regexp:"^\\/(([\\w\\d]+\\/)*)([\\w-]+)\\/?$",path:"post/path=[3]"}],tags:["public"],source:"",title:"",description:"",_path:"page/path=blog"}}
