Couldn’t have said it better myself. I will note that I didn’t even care about the original when it was new. (Maybe it’s because the first version of Wolfenstein 3D I played had been modded so that every wall texture was replaced with low resolution porn — which essentially stole Duke Nukem’s thunder.)
