Notes

50

Raise trained attribute value by ONE to a value less than or equal to INHERENT. (This will only be needed in exceptional cases, such as a character recovering from serious injury.)

75

Raise a trained attribute value from inherent to inherent + 1.

An attribute may only be improved once "between adventures".

150

Raise a trained attribute value from inherent + 1 to inherent + 2.

225

Raise a trained attribute value from inherent + 2 to inherent + 3.

300

Raise a trained attribute value from inherent + 3 to inherent + 4.

5 x Exp

Acquire a new skill at level 0.

Must receive two weeks' tuition from instructor who performs successful Teaching task. "Exp" (experience) value is that of the skill to be acquired.

7x Exp

Requires (Exp + 1) weeks' practice and appropriate tutorial materials. "Exp" (experience) value is that of skill to be acquired

10 x Exp

Requires 2 x (Exp + 1) weeks' effort. "Exp" (experience) value is that of skill to be acquired.

N x Exp

Raise skill level by one

(from level N&endash;1 to N; Exp is that of skill)

Skill level may never exceed Limit x Max (rounded up), where Max = highest Trn attribute which appears in skill's formula. A skill may only be improved once "between adventures".

3 x N x Exp

Raise skill level by two

(from level N&endash;2 to N; Exp is that of skill)

The same restrictions apply here as above. At most three skills may be improved this way between adventures, and all must have been used "several times to good effect" in the GM's opinion.

5

Raise specific G/E value from 0 to 1.

Must have spent time in gravity/terrain. A gravity/environment familiarity may only be improved once "between adventures".

25

Raise specific G/E value from 1 to 2.

50

Raise specific G/E value from 2 to 3.

20 x Exp

Acquire Long Term Familiarity

"Exp" is that of the skill with which the LTF will be used. Rule of thumb: the character must have been dealing with object or situation frequently for at least the last year.

25

Quickly study one year's worth of fields.

Also requires four weeks of full-time study (6h/day) or eight weeks of part-time study (3h/day).
